Published Interview Vietnam War Grouping Belonging to Captain George Sisterhen
FY 1969 date SPH-3 aviation helmet and 3rd pattern jungle jacket from tropical uniform OG107 wind resistant ripstop poplin cotton material.
The helmet shows use. The helmet is in good condition except leather is rotting off the liner & crack at bottom of the visor cover. The clear visor is good condition with minor scatches.
They are attributed to, then Army Captain, US Navy Commander George W Sisterhen. You can see an interview with him on the link below. He talks about his path from being drafted in the Army, becoming an aviator and officer as well as how and why he became a Navy lifer. He was stationed at the LLDB HQ and flew VIPs & cargo.
