Identified Iowa Federal Soldier 1/6th Plate tintype with Cabinet Card and Obit

Group of Images and personal artifacts of Union Soldier Joseph Stanfield including 1/6th Plate Tintype, Cabinet Card, two funeral cards and two separate newspaper obituary's. Stanfield served entered service in the American Civil War on November 24th, 1861 as a 4th Sgt in the 15th lowa Infantry Co. G. Before transferring to Co. K the 15th lowa Infantry and later to the 17th lowa Infantry. By June of 1863 Stanfield was a 2nd Lt of Co. B 49th United States Colored Troops where he served until resigning in November 5th, 1863. He later would re-enlist with the 15th low Co. K on October 31, 1864. Mustering out in July of 1865.
