ID’ed Federal Officer 1/6th Plate Tintype

Talk about stellar! This is a 1/6th plate tintype is of 1st LT Isaac Jeliff of the 56th New York Infantry and later the 143rd New York Infantry. The image is crystal clear and has no bend in the plate. It doesn’t get much better for condition! The civilian next to him I believe is his Brother Reuben Jeliff who was born on June 13, 1841 there are no other photos of Reuben but given the extremely similarities I feel confident it is Reuben. Other examples of LT Jeliff were located on Civil War Research Database.
