CDV of William J. Davis, 4th Illinois Cavalry – Full Standing View with Period Inscription
This is a strong, full standing carte de visite of William J. Davis of Company E, 4th Illinois Cavalry. The CDV has no photographer’s backmark.

This is a desirable full standing view of a late-war Illinois cavalryman. Full-length poses are much less common than bust or waist-up views, making this a particularly appealing identified CDV for collectors of the 4th Illinois Cavalry or Western Theater cavalry images.
