12-Pound Civil War Bormann Cannon Ball – Deactivated – Excellent Condition

Original 12-pound Civil War artillery projectile fitted with a Bormann time fuse. These spherical shells were widely used by both Union and Confederate artillery units
during the war and were designed to detonate at a timed interval after being fired.
 
This example has been professionally deactivated and is inert. The shell remains in great condition with strong surface integrity and clear form. The fuse area is intact and displays well, making it an excellent representative example of Civil War artillery technology.
