1/9th Plate Tintype of Confederate Soldier with Missing Fingers! This Image is sharp and shows great definition! I would put this up as one of the nicest Confederate 1/9th plates I've had the pleasure of owning and its a spectacular convesation piece. There is early period pencil writing in the case but it is illegible. Behind the image was also a note tag with some age that list the name "Cary Whitaker Enfield Blues 1st NC Vol. Inf and Co. D 43 NC" There are other published images of Cary and we do not believe this is him. But would like to note that just incase for the potential buyer that could be a lead they could pursue with further resarch! This image is housed in a complete leatherette with a split spine.
