1/9th Plate Ambrotype of Stoic Young Confederate in Hardee Hat

A ninth plate ambrotype of an unidentified Confederate soldier. The soldier is wearing a homemade uniform of a darker gray material with seven buttons and shoulder tabs. The jacket has one pocket on the breast. The buttons are not gilded but the light reflection makes identification of a device not possible. He is wearing a large hat with one side pinned up but because of the angle of the photo, the side of the hat is not visible.
