1/4 Plate Tintype of Two Federal Soldier Posed with Hardee Hats

Outstanding 1/4 Plate Tintype of Two Federal Soldiers in Hardee Hats

This impressive 1/4 plate tintype captures two Union soldiers posed together, both holding the iconic Hardee hat. The larger plate size allows for a great view of their uniforms. Despite the photograph being slightly out of focus the facial features, and the distinctive wide-brimmed hats with insignia. The soldiers’ confident poses and side-by-side composition create a strong, brotherly-in-arms visual that stands out among Civil War images.
