Union Soldier with Rifle and Inverted U.S. Belt Buckle 1/4 plate tintype Photograph This tintype depicts a Federal soldier posed with his rifle, wearing a U.S. waist belt plate that is upside down, an occasionally encountered detail in Civil War photographs that may reflect inexperience, militia service, or informal studio preparation. The image is preserved in a complete leatherette case, retaining its original housing and enhancing both its display and historical appeal. There are some  bends and crazing but the image still displays great.
